Sammy Lee Fitzgerald, a beloved husband, brother, and son, passed away on September 19, in Lubbock. Born on November 5, 1956, in El Paso, Sammy lived a fulfilling life marked by his dedication to his work as an electrician and his genuine joy for the simple pleasures’ life had to offer.

Throughout his career as an electrician, Sammy exhibited exceptional undertook was completed to perfection. His expertise made him highly sought after by clients and colleagues alike.

Outside of work, Sammy had a passion for feline companionship. He adored his cats and cherished the moments spent with them. Sammy’s warm heart extended beyond his pets; he deeply valued the relationships he had with his loved ones. A weekend BBQ was always an opportunity for him to gather skill and professionalism. He took great pride in his work and was known for his meticulous attention to detail. He consistently strove for excellence and ensured that every job he family and friends together, sharing laughter and creating cherished memories.

The impact of Sammy’s presence will forever be felt by those who knew him best. He leaves behind a loving family who will deeply mourn his loss but also celebrate the remarkable life he led. Sammy is survived by his devoted wife Tracie Fitzgerald; brothers Johnny Fitzgerald, James Fitzgerald, and Randell Fitzgerald; sister Anna Burns. He is preceded in death by his father James Fitzgerald and mother Anadina (Annie) Donohoo.

To honor Sammy’s life and legacy, visitation will take place on September 29, at 2 p.m. at the Alpine Memorial Funeral Home located at 209 W Sul Ross Ave. A funeral service will follow at the same location from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Sammy Lee Fitzgerald will be deeply missed for the love he shared with those around him and the laughter he brought to every gathering. His legacy of hard work, dedication, and genuine enjoyment of life will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
