Sammy Q. Morales, 58, of Alpine, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, in Fort Stockton.

Sammy was born in Pecos to Elizar Rodriguez and Cresensania Morales on January 7, 1965. He graduated from Alpine High School. He was a kind man who focused on family and friends and was known for his great sense of humor and genuine smile. His hobbies were watching the Dallas Cowboys and practicing karate and watching Bruce Lee.

He is preceded in death by his parents Elizar Rodriguez and Cresensania Morales, aunt (second mom) Francis Tovar, uncle Facundo Tovar, maternal grandmother Irene Q. Morales and paternal grandmother Eduvijes Rodriguez.

Sammy is survived by his siblings, Luis Espinoza, Terry E. Torres, Brenda Haynes, Leo Morales, Sally Morales, Jose Montez, Maria Socorro Morales and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Leroy Fierro, Gilbert (Gilly) Brijaba, David A. Morales, Michael A. Morales, Andrew J. Morales, and Facundo Tovar Jr.

Viewing will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Alpine with Rosary recited at 11 a.m.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Alpine with Father Hector Chicas officiating. Final disposition of cremated remains will take place at a future date. Arrangements are entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home of Fort Stockton.
